About MECH
Founded in 1984, Montessori Education Center of Hawaii is the result of a cooperative effort between Founder Bonnie Beckett (“Miss Bonnie”), parents, and the local community. We continue to serve families by offering quality education grounded in the philosophy and methods of Dr. Maria Montessori. We are committed to providing a thoughtfully prepared environment that fosters independence, values diversity, and provides the opportunity for a child to cultivate a sense of self-motivation, allowing them to learn at their own pace.
Testimonial
“Love how easy the school is to work with. They work with my ever changing schedule and really listened to what my child and I need. My daughter loves the staff and is learning so much. They have so many activities and incorporate learning in everything! The children are always so happy when ever I drop in and circle time is a definite favorite!!"
