Admission Procedure
Thank you for considering Montessori Education Center of Hawaii for your child. The application and enrollment process is outlined below for your convenience.

Observation
Schedule classroom observation – if in session.

Application form and fee
Complete and submit an application form and a one time $25 application fee (non-refundable, new students only)
Parent interview
Meet with the Director to go over the registration packet and parent handbook.

Registration and tuition deposit
Please complete and submit all registration forms, the one-time $50 enrollment fee, along with tuition deposit to confirm your child’s enrollment. The non-refundable deposit will be applied to your child’s annual tuition.

Child visit
Your child will have a scheduled one hour visit with the teachers 1-3 days prior to the first day of school. This is to familiarize the child with the teachers, school environment and classroom routines.

Phase-in
All new students will stay 1-hour on the first day of school, increasing 1 hour each following day, usually attending their regular scheduled session by the end of the first week. School phase-in is important to help new children transition comfortably from home to their new school environment.

Parents are able to enter and update important Emergency contact information directly to our database by simply clicking the Button below to access the web form. A hard copy of this form is available in the office for your convenience if you would prefer to provide a handwritten version.
The "Online Emergency Contact Form" is not very mobile friendly for phone or tablet.

MECH will admit all qualified children upon availability of enrollment space.
